  This is certainly one of the old classic golf courses. The club house has many retro touches, including McIntosh influences. The atmosphere is from an age gone by but welcoming to visitors and the bar/food choice is just what's needed after a round and at reasonable prices, including the famous pint of John Paton - ask. The pro shop has a good selection of gear and drinks etc whilst staff are welcoming and informative regards the course. The layout is demanding whilst the holes are inviting with a few twists n turns. On our visit green were immaculate and overall the whole course and area around very well maintained and presented. We shall be back.
